The World of
the Flute Bag
Flutebag
The Flute Bag created by a Flutist’s Desire for True Beauty
As a flutist herself, the creator longed for a flute bag that was not only practical, but truly beautiful.
That simple, heartfelt wish became the starting point of her craft — each piece carefully handmade from genuine leather.
Her journey took a new direction when she discovered a kimono obi passed down from her mother.
That encounter quietly yet powerfully inspired her to move from leather to obi — the traditional sash worn with kimono — as her primary material.
The obi has a long and graceful history. It began as a simple cord for fastening garments, gradually gaining decorative beauty under continental influences during the Heian period.
By the mid-Edo period, with the growing popularity of kabuki theater, it evolved into the wide, ornate obi that came to symbolize feminine elegance.
Each obi is woven with silk threads depicting seasonal flowers and time-honored motifs, capturing the refined and deeply expressive beauty unique to Japan.
Natsu Original Flute Case Bag
The Natsu Original Flute Case Bag was born from the idea of “a bag so beautiful and functional, you’ll want to carry it every day.”
Every piece is made by hand with care and precision, using hand-selected obi — making each one a true limited-edition creation.
By bringing the long history and quiet grace of the kimono obi into modern life, we hope to pass on Japan’s sense of beauty and tradition to the future — one flute bag at a time.
